Research on military conductive slip ring technology
The conductive slip ring is deep into the field of national defense, widely used in astronomical navigation, photoelectric tracking, photoelectric search and other equipment, providing the transmission of power supply, signal, light and microwave when the equipment rotates. The narrow conductive slip ring mainly provides the transmission of electrical power and electrical signal, and realizes the simultaneous transmission of optical signal and microwave by combining the photoelectric rotary joint and high frequency rotary joint.
Most military sliding rings need to be customized, and several indicators need to be considered, including contact stability, operation stability, rotation life, anti-interference, and the volume of the sliding ring itself (because most military equipment needs to maximize function in a limited space, small volume and reliability are equally important). The lip ring stability needs to be achieved by the preferred material and structure. Contact material is the most critical part of the slip ring, which directly affects the quality of the slip ring, requiring high electrical conductivity, good thermal conductivity, high melting point, small resistance temperature coefficient, oxidation resistance, sulfide resistance, corrosion resistance gas, high hardness, good wear resistance, good melt welding resistance, arc corrosion resistance and burn characteristics. Commonly used silver copper nickel alloy, beryllium bronze, gold nickel alloy, silver copper nickel alloy low melting point, low hardness, wear resistance, easy to vulcanate; beryllium bronze easy oxidation; gold nickel alloy high price.
Electric slip ring contact mode we usually use multi-point contact, at the same time has the characteristics of large current density, small volume, and multi-point contact than single point contact and surface contact, with the characteristics of lower contact pressure, so there will be lower wear. The insulation performance between the ring is also an important performance of the conductive slip ring.
