The dynamic resistance and insulation resistance of the two major performance indexes of the conductive slip ring products directly affect the quality and performance of the conductive slip ring products. The dynamic resistance of the conductive slip ring is the dynamic contact resistance between the brush and the ring body, which can be measured using micro-volt meter. It is usually a fluctuation value, mainly due to the conductive slip ring of metal ring surface without defects or ring and brush between foreign body, insufficient pressure, virtual contact, because the surface treatment cannot be absolutely smooth, so the dynamic contact resistance fluctuation value can not eliminate, general requirements can not exceed 10 ms, minimum can reach 1 ms.

Because the insulator material plays a very important role in the slip ring, the selection of the insulation material must be paid attention to. Insulation resistance refers to the tolerance of insulation parts and insulation materials to the voltage, usually for insulators, the better the insulation performance, the stronger the voltage resistance, generally the larger the better.
